The goal of Physical Education at College Hills is for our students to have fun, be safe, and learn a healthy life style that will continue to develop into adulthood. Students can learn the basics for developing a healthy lifestyle and social development through different physical activities. It is important for students to understand the relationship between physical activity and a healthy body.
Each student attends PE everyday for thirty minutes. On average, we have between sixty five and eighty students in the gym at a time. With this many students, safety is one of our main concerns. Parents can help their child by having them wear shoes that cover their toes and have a rubber sole, tennis shoes are preferred. Sandals and boots can restrict movement and be unsafe. Students will still participate to the best of their ability if they forget the proper footwear.
If your child is unable to participate due to a medical reason, please write a note or send a doctor's excuse to school for the coaches. Students who are unable to participate because of a medical issue will have an area where they can sit. If a child needs to simply "take it easy" we will let the students do what they can to still participate.
